Our very own Steven C Barber was called upon by the Wyoming State Legislature to testify in favor of a new Wyoming bill that would recognize Moon Landing Day as a state holiday. They really couldn't have chosen a person to testify who is more passionate about space exploration and NASA than Steven C Barber. It passed and Moon Landing Day will become a Wyoming state holiday starting July 20, 2023.
“The tough thing about this business is caring. You have to care,” says Steven Barber, a filmmaker and space monument builder who was present via Zoom to testify in favor of the bill. “Every committee member had a story about a connection to Apollo and the moon landing.”
This bill was sponsored by Wyoming lawmaker Senator Affie Ellis who is also working with Barber to a place an Apollo 11 monument in a new location in Wyoming.
